IAB U.K. Collaborates with Google, Yahoo and Microsoft

The Internet Advertising Bureau’s (IAB’s) Search Council has teamed up with major search engines to to set up a search advertising advice centre for brands, offering advice to business on best practices, policy and legal regulation regarding search marketing.

Leading search engines including Google, Microsoft and Yahoo will provide guidance on their respective policies and practices regarding search engine marketing on newly launched Search Help Centre on IAB U.K website.

The move follows last month’s agreement between Google and Yahoo last to provide webmasters with detailed information on their policies regarding the way in which search engines crawl websites using the Robots Exclusion Protocol.

The Search Works for 192.com

The Search Works, a leading UK digital performance marketing company has been appointed by search engine 192.com in order to drive more traffic to it’s people search directory. The Search Works will handle its search engine optimisation strategy as well as its paid search campaigns.

Katie Gardner, 192.com’s marketing manager, added that the company had been seeking an agency with a new creative approach. 192.com searches over 630 million records including free directory enquiries, local business listings, interactive mapping, aerial photography and property reports.
